Which plan lets me translate a video's transcript?
Video translation is available from the Pro plan and up. The Free plan transcribes video audio in its original language but does not include translation.
Will I get translated subtitles (SRT/VTT) for my video, or just translated text?
Just translated text, for now. Transkio translates the transcript itself into another language as a readable document, but subtitle exports (SRT/VTT) are only available in the video's original spoken language — there's no translated-caption file yet.
What video formats can I upload?
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, and MPEG. Transkio extracts the audio track automatically after upload, so there's no need to convert the file or pull the audio out yourself first.
What's the maximum video file size?
It depends on your plan. The Free plan supports files up to 100 MB, while the Ultra plan raises that to roughly 8 GB, enough for longer recorded sessions and higher-resolution footage.
Can I just paste a video URL instead of uploading the file?
No — Transkio doesn't fetch video from a URL or link. You'll need to upload the video file directly, or record one in your browser if you're capturing a live session.
