Cancellation Policy
Effective date: August 27, 2026
1. What cancellation means
Cancelling a paid plan stops it from renewing. It does not delete your account, transcripts, or files — you keep everything and can resubscribe any time. To remove your data entirely, delete your account instead (see §6).
2. How to cancel
Go to Billing in your dashboard and use the "Manage plan" link, which opens Stripe's billing portal. You can also downgrade to the free plan from the same page.
3. Refunds
We don't promise refunds on a fixed schedule. If something isn't working for you, email support@transkio.ai and we'll look at your situation directly. Payments are processed by Stripe; any refund we approve is issued back to your original payment method.
4. Monthly vs. yearly billing
Both work the same way: cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access for the rest of the period you already paid for. Yearly plans aren't prorated on cancellation — see §3 if that doesn't work for your situation.
5. Changing plans
Switching plans — up or down — takes effect immediately and is billed on a prorated basis: you're credited for unused time on your old plan and charged for the new plan's remaining period, so you never pay twice for the same day.
6. Automatic renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel first. We don't auto-upgrade you, and we'll never charge a plan you haven't chosen.
7. Your account and data after cancellation
Cancelling your subscription moves your account to the free plan at the end of the period — your transcripts, files, and exports stay put, subject to the free plan's limits. If you want your data removed entirely, delete your account from Settings; deletion completes within 30 days, per our Privacy Policy.
